Triumph NT-16 16,000 lb — The Heavy-Duty Two-Post Built for Full-Size Pickups and Light Commercial Vehicles

The Triumph NT-16 16,000 lb Two-Post Auto Lift is a heavy-duty commercial lift built for bays that handle heavy full-size pickups, large SUVs, cargo vans, and light commercial vehicles up to 16,000 lbs. At 120 inches overall, its floor-plate design fits under lower ceilings than a 145-inch overhead two-post — serious capacity in a building that a taller lift will not fit.

Four symmetric lifting arms with stackable adapters in 1.5, 3, and 6-inch heights handle the full range of vehicle types through the same bay. A single-point safety release with dual safety design and an electrical override automatic safety shutoff work together to hold the load and stop the carriage before it reaches the top of its travel. 20 x 20-inch base plates — the largest of any two-post in our Triumph range — spread the anchor load across the slab on a lift carrying this much weight.

The NT-16 is ISO 9001 manufactured and CE certified. It requires a dedicated 220V AC circuit and a concrete floor meeting Triumph's installation manual requirements.

This is a permanently installed commercial lift — confirm both before ordering.

What Makes the Triumph NT-16 Heavy-Duty Two-Post Auto Lift Stand Out

✔ 16,000 lb Capacity — Heavy-Duty Commercial Range

At 16,000 lbs, the NT-16 handles the full range of heavy full-size pickups, large SUVs, cargo vans, and light commercial vehicles that push past the rated capacity of a standard commercial two-post. If the vehicles coming through the bay regularly exceed what an 11,000 lb lift can carry, the NT-16 is built for that working range.

✔ 120-Inch Overall Height — Floor-Plate Design for Lower Ceilings

The NT-16 stands 120 inches overall — significantly lower than the 145-inch overhead two-post range. Its floor-plate design routes the synchronising cables and hydraulic hoses through a connecting bar at floor level between the columns rather than across an overhead beam. A garage that cannot take a full-height overhead two-post can often take the NT-16. Measure your ceiling against 120 inches plus the roof of your tallest vehicle at full lift height before ordering.

✔ Electrical Override with Automatic Safety Shutoff

An electrical override automatic safety shutoff is built into the NT-16's control system — carriage travel stops automatically before reaching the top of its range. Combined with the single-point safety release and dual safety design, the NT-16 does not rely on a single mechanism to hold 16,000 lbs.

✔ Single-Point Safety Release — Dual Safety Design

A single-point release disengages both column locks from one location — no walking around a loaded lift to reach a second lever. The dual safety design provides a secondary layer of protection behind the primary locks. On a lift carrying 16,000 lbs, that redundancy matters.

✔ Symmetric Four-Arm Configuration — Stackable Adapters in Three Heights

Four symmetric lifting arms with rubber lift pads handle the full range of vehicles through the same bay. Stackable adapters in 1.5-inch, 3-inch, and 6-inch heights ship in the box at no extra charge — raise the contact point to reach the lift points on heavy full-size pickups, large SUVs, and higher-clearance vehicles without improvising.

✔ 20" x 20" Base Plates — Maximum Anchor Distribution

Each column sits on a 20 x 20-inch base plate — the largest of any two-post in our Triumph range. Larger base plates spread the 16,000 lb anchor load across more of the slab. Confirm your concrete meets Triumph's installation manual requirements before ordering.

✔ 7-Inch Lowered Height — Note for Low-Profile Vehicles

The NT-16 has a 7-inch lowered arm height — higher than the 4.5-inch lowered height of the NT-9 and NT-11. Most standard passenger cars, full-size pickups, and SUVs clear the arms at 7 inches. Very low-profile sports cars and vehicles with front lips should be measured against this figure before ordering.

✔ 40-Second Lift Time on 220V AC, 3 HP

The NT-16 completes a full lift cycle in approximately 40 seconds on a 220V AC, 3 HP single-phase power unit. Confirm your garage has a suitable 220V supply before delivery — book the electrician before the lift arrives, not after.

✔ ISO 9001 Manufactured and CE Certified

The NT-16 is manufactured in ISO 9001 certified facilities and carries CE conformity as stated by Triumph — independently verified quality standards for a lift rated at 16,000 lbs.

Who Is the Triumph NT-16 Two-Post Auto Lift Built For?

🏪 The Commercial Service Centre

You cycle a lift all day through a mixed bay — full-size pickups, large SUVs, and cargo vans. 16,000 lbs covers that full range without a lift change, and the 120-inch overall height fits in buildings that cannot take a 145-inch overhead two-post.

🚐 The Fleet and Municipal Garage

You service cargo vans, full-size pickups, and light commercial vehicles that regularly exceed 11,000 lbs. The NT-16 is the lift built for that working range.

🔧 The Heavy-Vehicle Specialist

Full-size pickups, large SUVs, and light commercial vehicles up to 16,000 lbs. The stackable adapters in three heights reach the lift points on the tallest frames without stacking improvised solutions under the pad.

🏗️ The Low-Ceiling Commercial Bay

Your shop cannot take a 145-inch overhead two-post but needs more capacity than an 11,000 lb lift provides. At 120 inches overall, the NT-16 delivers heavy-duty capacity in a building with standard ceiling height.

🏠 The Serious Home Shop

You have a 220V supply, a suitable concrete floor, and a heavy full-size pickup or large SUV in the queue that exceeds the capacity of a standard commercial two-post. The NT-16 covers that requirement in a building that a taller overhead lift will not fit.

The Triumph NT-16 Is a Heavy-Duty Commercial Lift — Here's How to Confirm Your Space

Ceiling Height

The NT-16 stands 120 inches overall at the columns. Your ceiling needs to clear 120 inches plus the roof of your tallest vehicle at full lift height. Measure your own vehicles — don't estimate.

Floor Width

Overall width across the columns is 142 inches. Width between the posts is 114 inches. Leave door-opening clearance on at least one side.

Drive-Thru Width

The drive-thru opening between the carriages is 100 inches — the gap a vehicle has to pass through on the way in.

Working Height

Lifting height is 72 inches at the pad. Lowered arm height is 7 inches — higher than other Triumph two-post lifts. Very low-profile vehicles should be measured against this figure before ordering.

Power

The NT-16 requires a dedicated 220V AC circuit for the 3 HP motor. Book the electrician before the lift arrives — not after delivery.

Foundation

The NT-16 requires a concrete floor meeting Triumph's installation manual requirements. Request a copy before ordering and confirm your slab meets the specification before delivery arrives.

Triumph NT-16 Two-Post Auto Lift Product Manuals

Triumph NT-16 16,000 lb Two-Post Auto Lift — FAQs

What is the difference between the NT-16 and the NT-11?

Both are floor-plate two-post lifts with 220V requirements, but they differ in capacity, arm configuration, and lowered height. The NT-16 carries 16,000 lbs vs 11,000 lbs on the NT-11. The NT-16 uses symmetric four arms vs asymmetric arms on the NT-11, and has a 7-inch lowered height vs 4.5 inches on the NT-11. The NT-16 also has larger 20 x 20-inch base plates and an electrical override automatic safety shutoff not found on the NT-11.

What voltage does the NT-16 require?

The NT-16 requires a dedicated 220V AC circuit for its 3 HP motor. Confirm your garage has a suitable 220V supply and receptacle available before ordering — book the electrician before the lift arrives, not after delivery.

What concrete does the NT-16 require?

The NT-16 requires a concrete floor meeting Triumph's installation manual requirements. Request a copy of the manual before ordering and confirm your slab meets the specification before delivery arrives. Do not install on concrete that does not meet the manufacturer's requirement.

Will low-profile vehicles fit on the NT-16?

The NT-16 has a 7-inch lowered arm height — higher than the 4.5-inch lowered height on the NT-9 and NT-11. Most standard passenger cars, full-size pickups, and SUVs clear the arms at 7 inches. Very low-profile sports cars and vehicles with front lips should be measured against this figure before ordering. If low-profile vehicle clearance is a priority, consider the NT-11 at 4.5 inches.

How is the Triumph NT-16 delivered?

The NT-16 ships LTT freight at approximately 2,000 lbs. The freight carrier will contact you to schedule delivery, but the driver does not unload the lift. You will need a forklift, tow truck, or similar equipment rated for 2,000 lbs at your delivery address. Plan for this before placing your order.
