Four-Post Car Lifts

Four-post car lifts carry the vehicle on its tires, which makes them the natural choice for vehicle storage, fluid changes, exhaust work and inspection. Home-garage owners buy them to park a second car underneath; shops use them as a steady drive-on service platform. We carry Triumph and AMGO four-post lifts from 7,000 to 12,000 lbs.

Most of the range runs on standard 110V power. The Triumph NSS-8 comes in several versions, including the shorter NSS-8 Classic, the taller NSS-8XLT and the NSS8X-1, which ships with lift-gate delivery for homes without a forklift. Add a rolling bridge jack and a four-post can take the wheels off too. If you want a second opinion before ordering, send us your garage measurements through the Free Fit Check. We are an authorized dealer with the full manufacturer warranty, and we will beat any authorized dealer's price. Call or text 1-800-771-1278.

How to choose a four-post car lift

Storage or service

If the lift will mostly hold a car at height, clearance under the runway matters most. The Triumph NSS-8 gives 69 inches, the NSS-8XLT 79 inches, the NSS-11 81 inches and the NOS10000 81.5 inches. On the taller models, most adults can stand upright underneath. The NOS10000 has 14 locking positions with manual deadbolt locks. For brake, tire and suspension work, pair the lift with a rolling bridge jack so you can raise an axle off the runways.

Fit the garage

Measure length, width and height before anything else. The NSS-8 Classic is 141 inches long without ramps, 34 inches shorter than the standard NSS-8, for garages too short for a full-length four-post. At the wide end, the NSS-11 has a 118-inch drive-thru width, and the AMGO PRO-12SX has runways that adjust from 35 7/16 to 53 3/4 inches apart. The AMGO 407-P supports back-to-back installation for multi-bay parking. What size car lift do I need covers the measurements.

Power, air and moving the lift

The Triumph four-posts and the AMGO 407-P run on 110V. The PRO-12SX needs a dedicated 220V single-phase circuit and a compressed air supply for its lock release. The NSS-8, NSS-8 Classic, NSS8X-1, NSS-8XLT and NSS-11 include a caster kit for repositioning the empty lift, and the NOS10000 ships with poly-coated casters. See the 110V vs. 220V guide if you are unsure about your supply.

Four-post car lift FAQ

Can I park one car above another?

Yes, that is one of the main reasons to buy a four-post. Your ceiling has to clear the roof of the upper vehicle at the lock height you choose, so measure before you order.

Do four-post lifts need a 220V circuit?

Most in this collection do not. Every Triumph four-post and the AMGO 407-P run on 110V. The AMGO PRO-12SX is the exception and needs 220V.

Can I do brake and tire work on a four-post?

Yes, with a bridge jack. The Triumph SJ-35 fits the NSS-8 and NSS-8XLT only, and the Triumph RJ-5000 is confirmed for the NSS-8, NSS-8XLT and NSS-11. Our rolling bridge jack buying guide explains how to match a jack to your lift.

I do not have a forklift. What are my options?

The Triumph NSS8X-1 ships in two pieces with lift-gate delivery, and two people can assemble it. For other lifts, you can collect from the carrier terminal or pick up free at one of our warehouses.
