The Triumph NSS-8 8,000 lb Four-Post Lift Built for Real Garages

The Triumph NSS-8 8,000 lb Four-Post Car Lift adds practical vehicle storage and service capability to your garage. Its proven four-post design supports up to 8,000 lbs, making it suitable for a wide range of cars, SUVs, and light-duty vehicles.

With a 72-inch lift height and up to 69 inches of clearance beneath the runways, the NSS-8 can create additional parking space or provide easier access for routine maintenance. Automatic safety locks engage at 10 positions, while the single-point lock release simplifies lowering.

A caster kit, jack tray, and three drip trays are included as standard. The unloaded lift can be repositioned around the garage, while the jack tray and drip trays add extra flexibility for service and stacked vehicle storage.

Powered by 110V, 30A, the NSS-8 reaches full height in approximately 40 seconds and uses a time-tested design that has been used for more than 20 years.

Ceiling Height

The NSS-8 stands 84 inches tall at its columns. That's the lift alone, no vehicle on it. If you're planning to stack two vehicles, your ceiling needs to clear the roof of whatever is sitting on the upper runway at your chosen lock height. Measure your actual vehicles — don't estimate.

Floor Length

The NSS-8 runs 175 inches without approach ramps and 195 inches with ramps deployed. Add walking clearance at both ends before deciding it fits. Most standard two-car garages handle this comfortably, but measure yours before ordering.

Floor Width

The overall base width is 106 inches. That's just under 9 feet. Check your bay width against that number first — width is the dimension that most often catches buyers off guard after delivery.

Vehicle Size

The drive-thru opening between the posts is 93 inches wide. Runways are 18 inches wide, sitting 37 inches apart, and run 165 inches in length. Full-size pickups, crew cabs, and most large SUVs load and park without issue. If your vehicle has an unusually long wheelbase, measure it against the 165-inch runway before ordering.

Power

The NSS-8 runs on 110V with a 30A breaker. Check that your garage has a 30A receptacle available before delivery day — not after.

Triumph SJ-35 Storage Lift Bridge Jack (Optional)

The Triumph SJ-35 is designed specifically for the Triumph NSS-8 and NSS-8XLT lifts. It slides into the runway gap to give you wheels-off access for brake jobs, tire rotations, and suspension work without removing the vehicle from the lift.

Operated by manual pump, the SJ-35 raises from a collapsed pad height of 4.75 inches up to 11 inches, with extensions available up to 16.5 inches. The adjustable pad width spans 31 inches to 46 inches, fitting the NSS-8's 37-inch between-runway gap cleanly.

Does the Triumph NSS-8 require special electrical wiring or a dedicated circuit?

No 220V circuit is needed — the NSS-8 runs on 110V, 30A power. A 30-amp, 110V receptacle isn't a standard wall outlet, though, and most garages don't have one. Have a licensed electrician confirm your circuit or add a 30A receptacle before delivery. If you already have a suitable 30A, 110V outlet, the NSS-8 plugs straight in.

Does the Triumph NSS-8 four-post lift need to be bolted to the floor?

No permanent floor installation is required. The NSS-8 is a free-standing, portable lift. The included caster kit lets you reposition it around your garage whenever your layout changes. Your concrete must meet the minimum requirements — 4" thickness at 3,000 PSI — but no anchoring or concrete work is needed.

What vehicles will fit on the NSS-8 car lift?

The NSS-8 supports most cars, SUVs, and light-duty trucks up to 8,000 lbs. The 93" drive-thru width accommodates crew cabs and full-size pickups, and the 165" runway length handles most standard wheelbases. Always verify your specific vehicle's weight and wheelbase against the specs before ordering.

Can I do brake and tire work on the Triumph NSS-8, or is it storage only?

The NSS-8 handles both storage and service. The included jack tray accepts a standard bottle jack or floor jack to lift one end of the vehicle off the runways, giving you access for brake jobs, tire rotations, and basic suspension work. For full wheels-off access, the Triumph SJ-35 rolling bridge jack is available as an add-on.

How is the Triumph NSS-8 delivered and do I need a forklift?

The NSS-8 ships LTL freight at approximately 1,600 lbs. The freight carrier will contact you to schedule delivery, but the driver does not unload the lift. You will need a forklift, tow truck, Bobcat, or similar equipment rated for 1,600 lbs available at your delivery address. Plan for this before placing your order.
